How lovely it was to have Bronnie come for afternoon tea. It was a real win:win, because the house was cleaned before she arrived. Kira vacuumed and had an amazing discovery in the laundry under the washing machine. She can now answer the eternal question "what happens to the other sock?" She found 8 plus a handkerchief!!!! We had a lovely catch up and enjoyed our afternoon tea. Visitor cake; GF chocolate brownie; cupcakes from the markets; flan from Bronnie

Mothers' Day

Image
This is only a week late. I was having too much fun last week to be on the computer.  Then I had to work 5 days!!! I had a lovely Mothers' Day.  I received many gifts from the children and a couple from Michael.  The kids went to card class with Sue Rowe . They each made a set of these super goodies.  I received one and Amanda their Day care mum received the other one. I got a special one from them each as well. After gifts, cards and breakfast I made sushi: Then we headed off to Sea World for the day.  The weather was perfect. We did spend a little time inside with these gorgeous creatures. . . . and we enjoyed our picnic of sushi :)

Day 13 - Monday A day trip to the  Ginger Factory  at Yandina on the Sunshine Coast. It is a lovely low key place we all enjoy.  We had a train ride, then a picnic down the road. We went back to have a shop at the lovely gift shops and enjoyed a delicious ice cream before heading back home. Unfortunately 1/2 of Brisbanites were also on the Bruce Highway heading back home as well. What took us 1:45 hours to get there took us 3 hours to return!!! Day 14 - Tuesday My last day of a wonderful break away from work. I filled the day with a cuppa with Karen at the Coffee Club, followed by shopping; a check-up at the dentist; collecting a few supplies from Spotlight & Woolworths; lunch with my wonderful husband and some final craft activities for the Mother's Day stall with leftover butterflies. Supplies: SU Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die; Cuttlebug label die; Kaisercraft papers
